Courses on Offer
In the continuing education programin OTS, we believe that quality must take precedent over quantity of classes. In the past, many attendees of other similar "extension" course programs have given the common complaint of irrelevance. We are all about relevance and contextualization without sacrificing intellectual stimulation. We at OTS have been listening to the churches and have realized that the needs of the full-time seminary student and pastors are different from those of the lay believer and lay leader.
A "one size fits all" approach will never work. Quite unique in our "no-nonsense" approach of continuing education, we prefer to customize courses for lay believers and lay leaders in order to show how things SIMPLY work in the everyday life of the Christian and church ministry, instead of trying to teach a seminary course for lay people so that neither the need of seminary students and pastors nor that of the lay believers and leaders is sacrificed.
We believe in education even for those who have been believers for many years! More importantly, we believe in a life-changing experience through education where people will grow from the "renewing of the mind" so that discern the implications and applications of their gospel. Such discernment is important to finding out God's "good, pleasing and perfect" will (Rom. 12.1-2). Through our continuing education program, we hope to be at the forefront of renewing the corporate intellect of the church, thus stimulating positive growth.
In order to achieve the above goals, we at OTS guarantee to offer courses of high quality through our highly qualified faculty. We will select relevant topics which address the modern spiritual needs. In such courses, we repeatedly seek to answer the question,"How does THIS apply to my life?" Although we have great financial needs, we still wish to offer our FREE services simply because we do not want finance to be the obstacle to people learning about God. There is no catch! Our only sincere wish is for churches to grow together in unity "filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" (Eph. 3.19).
