LawAdjunct Professor of Music (1997 – ) Professor of Music & Asian Studies, City College of San Francisco Dr. Law is a renown vocalist, professor of voice, expert in East Asian music, choral conductor, and musical theologian. We are always blessed whenever he visits our seminary to build up musical awareness for our future pastors. As a winner of multiple vocal awards since his formative study of voice, Dr. Law continues to explore areas quite relevant to the Chinese Church: Asian Studies. His expertise in the Asian culture is highly recognized by his position of former chairman of Asian Studies Dpt. of San Francisco City College. Among his many publications, his most significant recent publications include A Study Guide to Music of East Asia (McGraw Hill, 2002) which will become a standard textbook for studying East Asian music at the university level. LucVisiting Professor of Old Testament (Spring 2007) Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages, Columbia International University Dr. Luc has had wide variety of ministry experiences ranging from pastorate to various academic posts. His prestigious Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin and his ability to cross cultures finally land him his present post as Professor of Old Testament and Biblical Languages at Columbia Biblical Seminary and School of Missions. His publications range from popular Chinese journals to the highly academic Zeitschrift für die Alttestamentliche Wissenschaft. He also served for eight years as the Old Testament Editor for the 2nd edition of The CRM Chinese Study Bible (published in 1997). OTS treasures his wide-ranging experience and academic qualifications which are in line with the vision of quality education of the seminary. ![]() | Patrick HuntVisiting Professor of Archaeology of the Bible (2002, 2005-2006) Director of National Geographic Society Hannibal Expedition Dr. Hunt is a Renaissance man in both metaphorical and literal sense. His expertise is far and wide with well-respected publications ranging from Renaissance artists Rembrandt (Ariel, 2006) and the award-winning Carravaggio (Haus, 2004) to the most recent Poetry in the Song of Songs (Lang, 2007). Yet, his academic disciplines are in archaeology and Greco-Roman classical world. His academic honors are too numerous to list here, but his recent appearances on PBS TV and History Channel programs highlight his ability to teach areas of his expertise to the popular audience.
